Welcome to Coga Cottage your home in the bush in Marloth Park. Here you will find the most peaceful self-catering family house in the heart of the best that Marloth Park and the bush veld has to offer, deep in the bush, surrounded by wildlife and right on the border of the Kruger National Park.

We are so fortunate to have a home that we can share in this most beautiful spot – right in the middle of Marloth Park. This is a home that you and your family and friends can use and enjoy as if it were your own.

We spent years dreaming of starting a business to share our special place. We were unsure exactly what sort of business we could run – but we wanted to do something. Coga Cottage has given us what we wanted, a true family home in the bush and now we get to share it with you.

You too can escape and enjoy some time in the bush veld, surrounded by wild animals, right on the border of the Kruger Park. At night while you sit around the fire you can listen to the sounds of the bush, hear the lions roar, owls hoot and bushbabies cry – an exceptional experience.

There are many very special local eateries that provide awesome food. A 20-minute drive will have you inside the Kruger National Park on a self-drive tour or alternatively, you can use a game-viewing vehicle with your own driver and guide.

Around Marloth are many venues providing special experiences, from hand feeding elephants, zip lines, white water rafting, tiger fishing, and quad biking, the opportunities are endless. When you visit you will wake up and pinch yourselves every day to make sure that this special place is your home in the bush too.

Things to do around Marloth Park

Coga Cottage is in the centre of Marloth Park, a wildlife 3000-hectare sanctuary situated on the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park. It has its own wildlife and boasts four of the big five. The buffalo, rhino and lion are confined to Marloth’s 1500-hectare game reserve “Lions Spruit”.  Kudu, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, nyala, impala, bushbuck, warthog and plenty more aren’t restricted by fences and roam freely between the houses on the remaining 1500 hectares. The Crocodile River forms the boundary between the Kruger National Park, where you are likely to spot elephants, hippos, crocodiles, lions, and leopards.

Game Drives & Safaris

Game drives around Marloth Park, or in Lionspruit our own private game reserve and also in the Kruger National Park. You can do this as a self-drive or hire a Game Viewing Vehicle and your own guide with a pick-up at Coga Cottage

Walking and Cycling around Marloth Park

Walking and Cycling around Marloth Park is awesome. With all the wild animals, plants and birdlife every step is an adventure. A stroll along the Crocodile fence between Kruger Park is always rewarding.
A mountain bike ride or a walk along the river or on many a dirt road and is always and adventure. Marloth is also a birder's paradise.

Golf

There are a few awesome golf courses near Coga Cottage.
- The 9 hole Kambaku Golf Course in Komatipoort
- The Malalane Golf Course in Malelane, and
- Then, not to be missed, the very special option of playing the 9 hole course in the Kruger Park at Skukuza.

Kruger Park Morning Walk and Game drives

Accompanied by knowledgeable, and armed rangers, quietly follow game spoor, learn about their movements and the significance of marks or sounds. Have the opportunity of seeing wildlife up close, and learning tracking skills and how to identify plants and birds.
An incredible experience few have the privilege to partake in.
Kruger Park also has guided game drives the depart from Crocodile Bridge camp at Sunrise, Sunset and night - all an awesome experience.

Marloth Park Sundowner River Game Drive

The Crocodile River forms a natural boundary between Marloth Park and the Kruger National Park that lends itself to excellent game viewing opportunities.
Herds of elephant playing in the river is an all-too-common sighting. leopard, lion and buffalo are often sighted along with the other plentiful wildlife frequenting the river.

Tswale and Modjadji are the two elephants you will meet, being so close to these enormous animals and experiencing their gentle nature will leave you with unforgettable memories and a new appreciation for the biggest land animal on earth.

The nights in Marloth Park are very special, enjoying the night listening to the sounds of the bush. Often you can hear the lions roar in the distance. We also have many very special visitors who will pop round to make this time special.
