The Bushveld Atlantis Water Park

Is a water park that offers exciting slides, mini golf, a tuck shop and braai facilities. A great place for the kids to enjoy a refreshing splash, and a friendly game of mini golf.

The water park is located right next to the Bush center one of Marloth Parks shopping centers.

Henk Van Rooyen Park

Henk Van Rooyen is the resort with a public swimming pool, tennis court, a kiosk where you can buy soft drinks, ice cream and take always. 

The Amazing View Restaurant is also in the resort which offers a great view over the Crocodile River at sunset a great place for drinks and a meal at sunset.

The Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park, located in northeastern South Africa, is one of Africa’s largest and most renowned wildlife reserves.

Spanning nearly 20,000 square kilometers, it is a biodiversity hotspot, home to a vast array of wildlife, including the Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhinoceros).

From Coga Cottage you can explore the Southern section of Kruger National Parks the park’s diverse landscapes, from savannahs to forests, and enjoy thrilling game drives, guided walks, and birdwatching offered for Crocodile Bridge Gate. From Coga Cottage you have access into the park via two gates, The Crocodile River Gate (a 20-minute drive) and the Malellane Gate (a 40-minute drive).

Kruger also boasts excellent infrastructure, offering a range of accommodations and facilities, making it a popular destination for safari enthusiasts seeking an immersive African wilderness experience while contributing to conservation efforts. 

A recommended self-drive day visit to Kruger National Park could be.

  • Enter at Crocodile Bridge, drive to Lower Sabie (2 hours drive)
  • After breakfast drive to Skukuza (2 – 3 hours drive)
  • After lunch drive to Berg-en-Dal (3 hour drive)
  • After tea drive or Malelane Gate (half hour drive)

Remember there is a lot more time to travel in Summer than winter. In our guide book we provide distances between the rest camps and gates as well as distances between points of interest, and the opening and closing times for the park.

If you are planning a self-drive safari into Kruger National Park, it is important to take note of the gate opening and closing times and also consider an average speed of about 20km/h on sand roads and 40km/h on tared roads

  • Open-game vehicle drives with a private guide to take you into Kruger Park. They will collect you from Coga Cottage in the morning and deliver safely you back to Coga Cottage after your drive. 

From Crocodile Bridge Gate the Kruger Park (a 20 minute drive from Coga Cottage), offers Early-morning Safari, Sunset Safari and Night Safari. These awesonme excursions are hosted by Kruger National Park Game Rangers.

In addition the is also an early morning walk, a once-in-a-lifetime experience, where in the company of armed Rangers you experience the game reserve on foot.
